Firefighter Suffers Injury During Lake View Blaze

CHICAGO (STMW) – At least one overnight fire may have been caused by a lightning strike in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.

The blaze began shortly after 2 a.m. at a single-family home at 1617 W. Byron St., according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.

One firefighter suffered an injury while battling the blaze, according to Langford, who said its cause may have been storm-related.
