Man Dead After Rollover Crash

MARKHAM, Ill. (STMW) - A 41-year-old Chicago man died following a one-vehicle crash near south suburban Markham.

The man was partially ejected from his vehicle during a rollover crash at 12:23 a.m. on Interstate-57 near 167th Street, according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago master sergeant.

He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the master sergeant.

James L. Williams, 41, of the 2800 block of East 77th Pl., was pronounced dead at 12:42 a.m. Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Drugs or alochol do not appear to be a factor in the crash, the master sergeant said.

Illinois State Police are investigating.
