(CBS) The NFL Network’s Jason LaCanfora is reporting that the Redskins have a deal in place to send quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Vikings.

The two teams just have to work out the financial details to get the trade done, which LaCanfora admits “could be tricky.”

The Vikings drafted quarterback Christian Ponder in April’s NFL Draft and view him as their quarterback of the future, but bringing in McNabb would allow for Ponder to grow behind the veteran quarterback.
