Bears Sign Draft Pick Paea, Come To Terms With Conte

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The Bears have signed draft pick Stephen Paea to a four-year contract, and have agreed to terms with fellow draft pick Chris Conte.

The Bears confirmed the moves in a news release Friday morning.

Paea, a defensive tackle, was picked up by the Bears 53rd overall pick in the second round of the NFL Draft this year. He is 6-1 and 311, and earned the Pac-10 conference's Pat Tillman defensive player of the year award while with the Beavers at Oregon State University.

Chris Conte, a safety, was the Bears' third-round draft pick this year, at 93rd overall. The Bears have also agreed to terms for a four-year contract with him.

Conte is 6-3 and 212, and played made 17 starts during his four seasons with the University of California-Berkeley Golden Bears in college.
