Updated 07/29/11 - 9:39 p.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two Delta Air Lines airplanes clipped wings on the tarmac at O'Hare International Airport on Friday.

Chicago Aviation Department spokeswoman Karen Pride said the two planes clipped wings at about 7:30 p.m.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Tony Molinaro said Delta flight 1777 clipped Delta flight 2207 as it sat at its gate.

No injuries were reported.

Delta spokesperson Chris Kelly Flight 2207, an Airbus 319 headed for Minneapolis, was delayed two hours as a result of the incident. There were 124 passengers on board at the time

Flight 1777, an MD80 aircraft bound for Atlanta, was unable to fly. All 67 passengers were taken off the plane and the airline was trying to provide alternate flights for as many passengers as possible, Kelly said. Those passengers that cannot get another flight on Friday will be put up in hotels and put on flights on Saturday.

The FAA and Delta will investigate exactly why the two planes collided.

"Hi @Delta & @DeltaAssist, between the crash, hole & firetruck, this is a traumatic situation," she posted in another tweet. "I can't see our plane, but my colleague was on the other one & she said it has a hole in it. Firemen are outside."

Hanson also took two photos from inside one of the planes, including a shot of firefighters responding to the incident.
