Man Shot And Killed In South Shore

CHICAGO (STMW) — A man was shot and killed in the South Shore neighborhood Saturday evening.

Police responded to a call of a person shot about 5:15 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Ridgeland Avenue and found 32-year-old Daniel Johnson lying facedown in the gangway next to an apartment building, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O’Brien said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 6 p.m.

No one is in custody. Calumet Area detectives are investigating.

    That area is like living in Beirut. There is alot of crime and gangs there. Very sad and pitiful.
