(CBS) With college football camps opening up around the country, the USA Today Coaches Poll was released Thursday.
Locally, Notre Dame is ranked No. 18, while Northwestern and Northern Illinois are among those teams receiving votes. A total of five Big Ten teams are in top 25, but Illinois did not receive a single vote.
Wisconsin is the highest ranked team in the Big Ten at No. 10, while Nebraska is No. 11, Ohio State No. 16, Michigan State No. 17 and Penn State No. 25.
Northwestern earned 30 votes and has five teams between it and the top 25. Northern Illinois received four votes.
Oklahoma earned the No. 1 ranking in the country, followed by Alabama at No. 2, Oregon at No. 3, LSU at No. 4 and Florida State at No. 5.
