CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was found seriously injured in the predawn hours Tuesday on a ramp between Upper and Lower Wacker Drive, after apparently falling from a bridge.

Emergency crews responded to Wacker Drive near Stetson Avenue about 2:45 a.m. after someone called and said they saw a person lying on the ground, a Central District captain said.

Crews found the man, an adult male, on the ramp from Lower Wacker Drive to Upper Wacker Drive and took him to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the captain said.

He appeared to be seriously injured, according to the captain.

The man appeared to have fallen from the bridge above and sustained multiple injured, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.

The nature of the man’s injuries, and other information about the incident, were not known as of midday Tuesday.
