CHICAGO (STMW) - Police issued an alert on Wednesday after two teenage girls were fondled by someone who approached them in separate incidents on the Northwest Side.

In both cases, the offender approached and fondled the victims, then drove away in a dark gray or dark-colored four-door vehicle, possibly a Nissan, according to an alert from Grand Central Area detectives.

The first attack happened Aug. 10 about 9:30 p.m., when the victim was walking in the 7200 block of West Cornelia and was approached by a man who fondled her. The other happened Aug. 14 at 11:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of North Nortica. The victim in one case was 15, in the other 16.

The offender is described as a white man 20-30, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 and 140-160 pounds with brown hair, the alert said.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 746-8282.
