CHICAGO (CBS) — An Illinois State Police trooper was hospitalized with minor injuries Wednesday morning, following a crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway.

The female trooper had been heading outbound on the Dan Ryan when she was either cut off or clipped about 4:55 a.m. near 69th Street. At least two lanes were closed for a short time as crews cleared the crash site, but all lanes reopened about an hour and a half later.

The trooper was taken to Mercy Harvard Hospital in good condition, police said.

No information was available about whether any traffic tickets were issued.
