Body Of Partially Clothed Woman Found In Vacant Lot

CHICAGO (STMW) — A woman was found dead in a vacant lot on the South Side Sunday morning.

Police said someone called 911 about 9 a.m. and the body of the partially clothed woman, who appears to be in her 30s, was found in a vacant lot at 5425 S. Calumet Ave.

Her identity was not known immediately, according to a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office, who said she was dead on the scene.

It was not known how she died immediately and Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
