CHICAGO (CBS) — A woman whose body was found in a vacant lot near Washington Park over the weekend was strangled, an autopsy determined on Monday.
The woman’s partially-clothed body was found Sunday morning, face down at 5425 S. Calumet Ave., in the Washington Park neighborhood just half a block west of the park.
The woman remained unidentified as of Monday morning, but an autopsy determined she had been strangled and her death was ruled a homicide.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
