Viciedo In Lineup As DH As Konerko Returns To 1B

(CBS) Dayan Viciedo will bat fifth as the designated hitter Monday night against the Twins as Paul Konerko returns to first base for the first time since July 31.

Viciedo hit a three-run home run Sunday in his first game with the White Sox this season. Konerko has been relegated to designated hitter since he was hit by pitch just below his left knee against the Red Sox July 31. His return to first base means Guillen can stop using Adam Dunn and Brent Lillibridge there and he put Viciedo at DH.

Here is tonight’s lineups for the White Sox and Twins as Mark Buehrle faces Kevin Slowey at U.S. Cellular Field:

White Sox
Juan Pierre – LF
Alexei Ramirez – SS
Paul Konerko – 1B
Alex Rios – CF
Dayan Viciedo – DH

Tyler Flowers – C
Brent Morel – 3B

Ben Revere – CF
Trevor Plouffe – LF
