The motorist, 21-year-old Jessica Coryn Hejl, told police she was texting while driving, the release said. Little Rock paramedics responded, but Hejl refused medical attention and was taken into custody.

Hejl, of the 3200 block of Veronica St. in Plano, was ticketed for driving under the influence, texting while driving, operating an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage, the release said.

what a waste of time and energy from by emergency personnel

After she was ticketed, did they allow her to drive away? Or, did they take her to jail like the commercials on drinking and driving in Illinois? She should have been taken to jail and her vehicle and cell phone confiscated. Maybe then these fools that drive drunk and text will get the message. She’s lucky she didn’t seriously injure or kill someone, especially since she didn’t have any insurance. Hope they get her off the road for OUR safety.

Did they take her to jail? Now that is a solid question from Roberta Waker.

Well, the vehicle was rolled, so there is a strong possibility she won’t be driving that vehicle anymore.

Too bad she didn’t kill herself. One less txtr off the road.
