One Dead, Another Injured In Lincoln Park Stabbing

CHICAGO (WBBM) - Police seek the attacker who killed one man and wounded another in a knife attack in the north side Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez said that the stabbings occurred during an argument outside of 1132 W. Wrightwood Av., at about 12:50 a.m. Saturday.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said 19-year-old Rodney Kyles, of the 5100 block of Roberta Ln., in Richton Park, was stabbed in the chest and abdomen and died a short time later at nearby Illinois Masonic Hospital.

The second victim, a man said to be 18 years of age, was stabbed in the buttocks. Perez said he was released after treatment at Illinois Masonic.

Several eyewitness provided a detailed description of the attacker to police. Perez said he is 17 to 22 years of age, between 6' and 6'3" tall, 220-230 lbs., has medium length blonde hair, a fair complexion and wore a blue button-down shirt and blue jeans.

No one is in custody. Belmont Area violent crimes detectives are investigating.
