On Tuesday night, leaders of the group plan a candlelight vigil at the Gold Star Memorial and Park near Soldier Field to unveil the new specialty license plates.
The license plates will be available to active and retired law enforcement officers, their families, and members or donors to the Chicago police memorial foundation.
For each plate issued, the foundation will receive $25.
