CHICAGO (CBS) – An 18-year-old has been charged with a shooting that left three people wounded in Englewood on Friday.

Deonte Haywood was charged with aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, following a shooting and crash in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street, police said. He was ordered held on $100,000 bond on Monday.

Around 9:18 p.m. Friday, at least one person inside a vehicle shot three people in the 7200 block of South Paulina Street and then fired shots at police officers before crashing the vehicle, police said.

Police did not return fire during the incident. Police had been questioning multiple “persons of interest” in the shooting, but it was not immediately clear if anyone else would be charged in the case.

Two of the victims had been upgraded to good condition as of early Saturday, while one remained in serious condition, police said. One person in the vehicle was injured in the crash, police said. No officers were injured.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.

Such a fine example of Afro-American youth. A criminal his mother and baby-daddy can be proud of.

Why don’t you people post on the story where the son wacked his parents? Why? Can any one answer that?

I think I can help you with that one. This guy undoubtedly has been shooting at people for some time, probably has a lengthy rap sheet, and would have certainly killed people eventually. On the other hand, the guy in the other story probably commited his first violent act and most likely would have never killed anyone else, had he not commited this crime. Do you understand the difference now?
