Woman Charged With Forcing Underage Girl Into Sexual Servitude

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 27-year-old Englewood neighborhood woman stands charged with forcing an underage girl to have sex with strangers.

Ebony Mason, of the 500 block of West 62nd Street was charged with involuntary sexual servitude of a minor and human trafficking for labor, police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety said.

Mason was arrested 12:35 a.m. Friday in the 6000 block of North Lincoln Avenue, Baety said.

She was offered a girl under the age of 17 to another person for a sexual act, Beaty said.

The stretch of Lincoln Avenue where Mason was arrested was once infamous for a string of roadside accommodations that became known colloquially as the "hooker motels." The motels once stretched along Lincoln from Foster Avenue all the way to Devon Avenue, but many have since been demolished or remodeled.

It was not specified whether any motel on Lincoln Avenue was involved in this case.

Mason appeared in court Sunday where her bail was set at $250,000, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Web site. She is next scheduled to appear in court Sept. 30.
