Les Grobstein - 9/21/11 *UPDATE*

GROBBER---Sept 21,2011
===================
***The White Sox split a pair with the Cleveland Indians Tuesday. After former Cub Kosuke Fukudome beat them with a solo homer in the afternoon contest,the Sox got a break in the night-cap.After Cleveland took a 4-0 lead,Manny Acta used FOUR Rookie hurlers(who had a few Tribe Fans hurling)who entered out of the bullpen throwing everything but strikes. The Sox rallied and won 5-4.

***How wild were those Indian pitchers? Paul Konerko and Alexi Ramirez both were plunked. Neither on purpose. The Sox are near the top in all of Baseball in getting hitters drilled.Mostly since Carlos Quentin(now injured)crowds the plate and is hit plenty.

***Have Kerry Wood and Aramis Ramirez each played their final games in Wrigley Field? Wood has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and Ramirez has a quad injury which likely will hold him out the rest of the way too. A-Ram said Tuesday night that he expected to try out free agency. Woody indicated that unless the Cubs re-sign him for next season,that he would retire.

***The Bears get back on the practice field in Lake Forest Wednesday,but we won;t likely know much about the statis of many injured players like Chris Harris and Roy Williams until later in the week.
