'85 Bears To Finally Get Their White House Party
CHICAGO (CBS) -- More than 25 years later, the 1985 Super Bowl champion Chicago Bears are headed to the White House.
President Obama will host the Bears at a celebration on Oct. 7, a White House official confirmed.
The Bears missed the traditional celebration because their 46-10 victory over New England came two days before the Space Challenger exploded, killing the entire crew.
A majority of players, and some members of the coaching staff, are expected to attend.
