McMillen To Return As Rush Coach

(CBS) The Chicago Rush announced Friday that Bob McMillen will return as head coach for 2012 season.

"It is extremely exciting to return to this phenomenal organization," said McMillen. "I look forward to working hard again this season with the ultimate goal of returning to the playoffs and playing for the ArenaBowl championship."

McMillen was named runner-up for the AFL's Coach of the Year award in 2011 after setting franchise record with 13 wins in a season for a rookie coach.

"Bob truly demonstrated his superb coaching skills last season," said President and General Manager Gene Nudo. "We are confident he will lead this team with passion and true dedication as he is eager to continue the team's winning tradition."

McMillen won three ArenaBowl rings with three different teams during his career as a player. A Hillside, IL native, McMillen is a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. He played college football at Illinois Benedictine, where he was a three-time All-America selection in football.
