Suburban Teacher Resigns Amid Allegations
AURORA, Ill. (STMW) - Police in west suburban Aurora are investigating allegations that a former East Aurora teacher e-mailed inappropriate pictures to a student, city spokesman Dan Ferrelli said Tuesday.
The teacher resigned from the school district last week, according to East schools spokesman Clayton Muhammad. The teacher was employed at East Aurora High School, he said.
"The staff member resigned. The whole matter is under investigation by the Aurora Police Department," Muhammad said.
Ferrelli said because the investigation is ongoing, police could not comment further.
Neither Ferrelli nor Muhammad would say whether the teacher was male or female.
Muhammad would not say if the School District brought the matter to the attention of police.
