Police say the woman walked into Braun Drugs, 2060 N. Clark St., and waited for some customers to leave. Then she announced a robbery to employees.

The woman was described as a bit unkempt, and after she pulled out a hand grenade and demanded money, store employees grabbed her and held her for police.

The grenade turned out to be a fake, a Near North District sergeant said.

The 26-year-old woman was arrested, and police say she could face attempted robbery charges.
