3 Wounded In Hermosa Neighborhood Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) — Two men and a woman are hospitalized, after being wounded in a drive-by shooting the Northwest Side’s Hermosa neighborhood.

The shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday near Kilbourn Avenue and Altgeld Street, police said.

Police say someone got out of a car and opened fire, wounding the men, ages 29 and 28, and the woman, 25.

The men both suffered gunshot wounds to the legs and were taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County, police said. The woman suffered a through-and-through gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

As of mid-morning, all three victims were listed in stable condition, and no one was in custody.
