Man Pulled From Lake Michigan Dies

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man died Sunday morning after being pulled from Lake Michigan on the South Side.

The man was pulled from the water about 3:40 a.m. near the 6500 block of South Promontory Point Drive, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man in his 20s, who remained unidentified Sunday morning, was pronounced dead at 4:31 a.m. at University of Chicago Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

An autopsy is scheduled for later Sunday.
