CHICAGO (WBBM) – The best fall colors in our area are close.
Arborists say some trees have stayed green longer than usual this year because of the wonderful weather we have had for a couple of weeks. But the tree experts say the last of the chlorophyll, which keeps the trees green, will probably be disappearing rapidly since the weather is cooler.
So for the next two weeks, or so, the experts say mother nature will be pulling out the stops on fall colors.
