(CBS) Agreements have been approved that will allow the Cubs to build a new $99 million training complex in Mesa, Ariz.

According to a report from The East Valley Tribune, Mesa now has a 30-year deal in place for building the stadium, managing it with the Cubs and selling parcels to the team for a private entertainment complex.

Construction for the new facility is scheduled to begin next summer and is set to open for spring training in 2014.
