Ohio State QB's In The NFL

The topic of Ohio State quarterbacks lacking success in the NFL was brought up today with the idea that Terrelle Pryor potentially gets a start or two in Oakland as the newest Raider, Carson Palmer gets acquainted out west.

So we decided to look at quarterbacks in the NFL from Ohio State and what we found wasn't exactly shocking...

Player and Career NFL Stats at QB:
John Borton:  (1957 Browns)  3/6, 22 yds, 0 TD, 1 INT
Joe Germaine:  (1999 Rams)  9/16, 136 yds, 1 TD, 2 INT
Kent Graham: (92-94 NYG, 96-96 Ari, 98-99 NYG, 00 Pitt, 01 Was) 694/1339, 7801 yds, 39 TD, 33 INT
Bobby Hoying: (96-98 Phi, 99-00 Oak) 244/456, 2544 yds, 11 TD, 15 INT
Craig Krenzel:  (2004 Bears)  59/127, 718 yds, 3 TD, 6 INT
Art Schliter: (82-85 Colts)  91/202, 1006 yds, 3 TD, 11 INT
Troy Smith:  (07-09 Ravens, '10 49ers)  121/234, 1734 yds, 8 TD, 5 INT
Mike Tomczak:  (85-99 Bears, Packers, Browns, Steelers) 1248/2337, 16,079 yds, 88 TD, 106 INT

So yeah, not the best track record of NFL success for Buckeyes quarterbacks.  I understand that college football and the NFL are two entirely different games and that's completely fine but its shocking to see how little success quarterbacks from one of the biggest football factories in the country have had at the professional level.
