(CBS) Carson Palmer finally got his wish.

The Oakland Raiders acquired the veteran quarterback from the Bengals just before the NFL trade deadline. The Bengals received a first-round draft pick in 2012 and a conditional first-round draft pick in 2013.

Palmer has yet to play this season after demanding to be traded from the Bengals during the offseason.

The Raiders have been searching for a quarterback since Jason Campbell broke his collar bone in Week 6.

The Bears play the Raiders on Nov. 27 in Oakland.
