Park District Holds Plant Sale To Raise Money For Garfield Park Conservatory

CHICAGO (WBBM) - You can have the chance to buy some unusual plants very cheaply, and at the same time, help the Chicago Park District recover from the hail damage at the Garfield Park Conservatory this past summer.

The Conservatory, at 300 North Central Park Avenue, is holding a plant rescue sale from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday. Conservatory Foreman Matthew Barrett says there's something on sale for everyone.

Barrett says there will be exotic plants on sale. The average cost will be less than $10, and master gardeners will be there to answer any questions.
