Two Sought In Rape Of Girl In Gresham

CHICAGO (STMW) - A 15-year-old girl was raped Oct. 11 in the Gresham neighborhood and police have issued a Community Alert Saturday in hopes of finding her attackers.

The girl was walking in the 8100 block of South May Street when a masked man between the ages of 20 and 29 forced her into his van at gunpoint at 7:45 a.m. according to the alert from Calumet Area detectives.

That suspect sexually assaulted her while a second masked suspect drove the van away. The victim was released shortly after the assault and the suspects fled in the van, the alert said.

The man in his later 20s was black with a dark complexion and was wearing a black bank top, black jogging pants, white Adidas gym shoes and had a skull tattoo on his right shoulder, the alert said.

The driver was between the ages of 19 and 20 and had alight complexion and was wearing a red shirt, the alert said.

They are not in custody Saturday afternoon and anyone with information should call Calumet Area detectives, (312) 747-8271.
