Police say around 2 a.m., two men pulled up to the victim and told him he had a flat tire. When he got out to check, the men attacked him and drove off with his gray 2004 Infiniti g35, police said.

The victim held onto the car but let go after about a block, when the second suspected jumped into the car, Central District police Lt. Robert Lajewski said.

Authorities were trying to trace the Infiniti by using the signal of the victim's cell phone, which was taken with it.

The victim refused medical treatment.

The suspects were only described as male, and police did not know if they were armed.

The search continued for the suspects as of 5 a.m.
