(WSCR) Matt Forte makes up a little less than half of the Bears total offense, but right now, the team isn’t willing to pay him that way.

Hub Arkush joined The McNeil and Spiegel Show on Friday and said the Bears’ offers to Forte have not been fair.

“I have no idea how many offers they have made. According to my sources, which are usually pretty good over there, the last offer, whether it was the final one or not, was not fair. It wasn’t fair before he exploded in the last three or four games. It was Frank Gore money when he should’ve been getting DiAngelo Williams money.

“We’ve been around Jerry Angelo along time. One thing I can promise you is that if they were in that (fair) range, they’d find a way to get that leaked and make sure (the media) knew it.”
