(CBS) One day after his release from the Bears, the Lions have claimed veteran safety Chris Harris off waivers.

Harris’ tenure with the Bears came to a tumultuous end. Marred by injuries and inconsistent play, Harris ultimately lost his starting job, was rendered inactive and requested to be traded.

The move was confirmed by Harris’ agent on Twitter.
