(CBS) As if the cash-strapped White Sox didn’t have enough mountains to overcome in re-signing veteran pitcher Mark Buehrle, you can add Mt. Everest to that list.

According to a report from FOX Sport’s Ken Rosenthal, the free-spending Yankees, Red Sox and Rangers are all said to have interest in signing Buehrle.

Buehrle, however, has expressed interest in signing with Cardinals, as he and his family live in St. Louis. He is like likely look for a two- to three-year deal. Although the White Sox have little money to play with, they are still considered the favorites.
