Brandstatter: Bears O Line Continues To Improve

(WSCR) The last time the Bears played the Lions, they struggled to even get the ball snapped, committing three false starts on the team’s first drive.

Since that debacle in Detroit, the Bears offensive line has come together. The team has won three straight games, and the Bears didn’t surrender a single sack in their last win over the Eagles.

So will that Lions defensive line provide a difficult challenge for the Bears?

“I would expect it would be, but again, based on what you saw Monday night, I think the Bears offensive line is playing better,” Jim Brandstatter told The McNeil and Spiegel Show. “Clearly, they had problems in Detroit. The crowd was unbelievable — a lot false starts. … I suspect it will be a better situation for Chicago at Soldier Field.”

“Improve” is a relative term. Are they better than they were a month ago–Yes. Are they better than the o-line at the University of Wisconsin, probably not! Detroit, with a nasty front 7, will be a good test to see how improved they really are.
