CHICAGO (CBS) — A school bus was rear ended on the Eisenhower Expy. on Friday morning, injuring several children on the bus.

State police confirm the accident involved a school bus eastbound on I-290 just east of Des Plaines Avenue.

A truck rear-ended the bus carrying 24 fourth- to sixth-grade students around 9:30 a.m.

All injuries were minor.

The children were evaluated at the scene but all refused medical treatment and none were taken to hospitals. The semi truck driver was also injured.

The left two lanes were closed, creating delays. But all lanes were open before 11 a.m.
