(CBS) In a minor move Wednesday, the Bears re-signed safety Winston Venable and placed safety Anthony Walters on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Venable was waived earlier this season by the Bears after appearing in five games on the special teams unit. He joined the team as an undrafted free agent from Boise State.

Walters played in four games for the Bears. He’s an undrafted free agent from Delaware.

The Bears active roster is at 52, leaving room for one more player, possibly an offensive lineman to replace left guard Chris Williams who was placed on injured reserve earlier this week.
