Lally Daley, 28, had been due to marry Sam Hotchkiss on New Year's Eve.

More than 100 guests were able to make it Thursday to the ceremony . Uncles Bill and John Daley -- and Mayor Rahm Emanuel and his wife -- and other guests were all smiles as they walked into Spiaggia restaurant on North Michigan Avenue. Longtime friend Desiree Rogers also was there.

The bride reportedly wore her mother's wedding dress.

Both mom and dad walked her down the aisle. The colors for the wedding were plum and silver.

Mrs. Daley has been battling metastatic breast cancer for years, and the former mayor recently said his wife had a difficult summer.

But she appeared to be doing well just a few weeks ago, when she made an appearance for her After-School Matters program.

Mrs. Daley's physician, Dr. Steven Rosen of Northwestern Memorial Hospital, says there is no dramatic change in her condition, but he will not comment beyond that.
