(WSCR) Jay Cutler may not want to talk about his rivalry between Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers that stems from their days in the AFC West, but it’s certainly there.
In his weekly press conference Wednesday, Cutler wouldn’t say much about the fued, but the rivalry still exists.
“It is what it is between those two guys,” Brad Biggs of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show on Thursday. “I understand they’re not on the field at the same time, but Jay was asked a good question later on in the press conference yesterday, and that was: ‘Do you ever treat it differently depending on the opposing starting quarterback?’ He said, ‘Yeah, when you’re going against some quarterbacks that you know are going to be pushing the ball up and down the field and probably scoring points, you gotta keep that in mind.’ … Certainly Philip Rivers is a guy that can move the ball up and down the field in a hurry and put some points on the board.”
