5 Left Homeless By Fire In Englewood
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Five people were left looking for shelter Monday morning, after a fire swept through two homes in the Englewood neighborhood.
Firefighters fought the chilly temperatures to fight the blaze at the home near 64th Street and Loomis Boulevard, which broke out around 1:30 a.m.
The fire spread in one 1 1/2 story home, and spread next door.
The flames were under control within an hour. The American Red Cross sent a team to the scene to assist those who were left homeless.
No one was hurt in the fire.
