11 Displaced After Marquette Park Fire

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Nearly a dozen people were left homeless overnight, after a fire swept through a home in the Marquette Park neighborhood.

The fire broke out late Monday in the second story and attic of a two-flat at 6924 S. Talman Ave.

Crews battled flames as they spread through the structure. They were able to extinguish the fire by 11:40 p.m.

Seven adults and four children were displaced by the fire, according to Fire Media Affairs. No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross was on the scene early Tuesday to provide assistance to those affected.
