Bowen: Bears Still A Playoff Team

(WSCR) The Bears offense was operating as well as it has since Jay Cutler was traded to the Bears before Cutler injured his thumb.

Now, it's up to the rest of his team to push the Bears to playoffs. One NFL analyst said the Bears are still a playoff contender without Cutler.

"When you lose your No. 1 at that position, of any other position on that roster, you're going to take a step back," Matt Bowen of The National Football Post and Chicago Tribune told The Mully and Hanley Show. "But if you look at this Bears team and how I see them from my perspective, I still think they're built to be a playoff team. They're not built to be a championship team without their No. 1 quarterback, but going through the remainder of this stretch and trying to get to the playoffs, I look at what they can do in the run good, and how good they are in special teams. If they can continue to force turnovers on defense, they will be in ball games."
