(CBS) We now know exactly when the long-awaited debut of the Bulls’ 2011-12 season will be.

The NBA announced Friday the Bulls will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers at 4 p.m. on Dec. 25 on ABC.

The Bulls-Lakers game is part of a five-game opening day schedule that features matchups between the Celtics and Knicks, Heat and Mavericks, Magic and Thunder, and  Clippers and Warriors.
