Blackhawks Assign Ben Smith To Rockford
(CBS) The Blackhawks assigned Ben Smith to the Rockford IceHogs Monday.
Smith spent nine games with the IceHogs earlier this season before being called up to the Blackhawks and scored six goals with Rockford. He also tallied four assists for the AHL club.
The 23-year-old forward played seven games with the Blackhawks, scoring one goal.
Bryan Bickell is expected to replace Smith the lineup.
