CHICAGO (CBS) -- Temperatures to remain above average, with up to an inch of rain. If that rain were snow, it would amount to 10 inches, reports CBS 2's Megan Glaros.

Then, we'll see some gradual clearing on Thursday.


Wednesday night:
Rain and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the evening. Then showers likely after midnight. Breezy. Temperatures rising through the 50s. Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of precipitation 100 percent.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. A 20 percent chance of light rain showers in the morning. Breezy. Morning highs in the lower 50s. Then temperatures falling into the upper 30s by evening. West winds 15 to 25 mph.


Thursday night:
Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 20s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Gusts up to 30 mph in the evening.
