Chris Paul Traded To Clippers

NEW ORLEANS (CBS) — Chris Paul is headed to Los Angeles after an agreement in principle was reached Wednesday night on a trade sending him from New Orleans to the Clippers.

Commissioner David Stern approved the deal after nixing a deal that would have sent Paul to the Los Angeles Lakers last week.

The Hornets will get Eric Gordon, Al-Farouq Aminu, Minnesota’s unprotected first-round pick in the 2012 draft and the expiring contract of center Chris Kaman for the All-Star point guard, a person involved in the talks said.

    Why would New Orleans want this deal? This seems like something that would not happen if it were not run by the league, which means its something that should not happen.
