Five Injured In South Side Crash

CHICAGO (STMW) - Five people were injured -- three of them critically -- in a traffic crash Saturday morning in the South Side Ashburn neighborhood.

The crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. at 79th Street and Kedzie Avenue.

Four ambulances were called to the scene and a total of five victims were taken to hospitals, according to Fire Media Affairs.

Three people, in serious to critical condition, were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to Fire Media Affairs. Two other people, in fair to serious condition, were taken to Holy Cross Hospital.

Information on the victims' genders or ages was not immediately available.
