CHICAGO (CBS) — Mostly sunny, but seasonably chilly conditions will continue through the day, with a high of 35 degrees.

On Saturday, the high climbs to 39 degrees, and on for Christmas Day on Sunday, the high is 42, reports CBS 2 Meteorologist Megan Glaros.

And as for a white Christmas, you’ll just have to do like the old song and dream of one this year. Conditions will be pleasant and sunny on Christmas Day, but there won’t be a flake of snow in sight.

However, if you drop by CBS 2 before 10:30 p.m. tonight (Friday), you can experience some snow. We have a snow machine running outside our studios at 22 W. Washington St. that has been drawing crowds all day.

Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 30s. Light and variable winds late in the morning becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night:
Partly cloudy in the evening then clearing. Lows in the mid 20s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday Night:
Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 20s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Christmas Day:
Partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 40s. West winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph at times.

Sunday Night:
Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 20s.
