CHICAGO (AP) — A judge in Chicago has set bond at $350,000 for a robbery suspect accused of dragging an 80-year-old woman for a block in his car after she refused to let go of her purse.

Judge Israel Desierto set bond Saturday for 53-year-old Billy Tribbett.

Police say Tribbett reached out of the window of his 2005 Honda Thursday and tried to grab the woman’s purse.

She never let go, and Tribbett kept driving, dragging her for a block down a North Side street before taking off.

The Chicago Tribune reports that a witness recorded the license plate on the car, and Tribbett was arrested at his home.

The victim refused medical treatment.

Tribbett is charged with aggravated battery of a victim over 60 years old and aggravated attempted robbery.
